Port Dover Pirates Hockey Moms

Port Dover Minor Hockey has approved a new police check policy for all coaches, team staff, volunteers and minor hockey executive.

                   POLICE CHECKS POLICY  FOR ALL ON ICE OFFICALS AND PORT DOVER MINOR HOCKEY EXECUTIVE

 

1) Police Checks are to be done once every Five years with a Criminal

     Offence Declaration signed each year between Police Checks.

2) Coaches and their Staff are to arrange with the Risk Management Officer

     for Port Dover Minor Hockey a meeting to receive and/or sign the

      appropriate documentation

3) All Rep Coaches and their Staff must have a Police Check done before

     the beginning of tryouts. Failure to do so will result in that person being

      suspended until a police check is done.    

4) Any head coach who allows someone from their Staff on the ice, bench

     or in the dressing room without a police check will be suspended until

     dealt with by the disciplinary committee.

5) All House/Local League Coaches and their Staff must have a police

     check done. Once the Coaches and Staff are picked, they will have up to

     six (6) weeks to provide a Police Check to Port Dover Minor Hockey. For

     Persons that don’t have one they must sign a Criminal Offence

     Declaration form.

6) Any House/League Coach or their Staff that fail to provide a Police

    Check in the appropriate time allotted will be suspended until one is

     Provided.

7) All Executive members of Port Dover Minor Hockey must have a Police

    Check.
